Proofreading

Proofreading involves less than editing, i.e. checking and, if necessary, correcting:

  • Spelling
  • Grammar
  • Punctuation
  • Sentence structure
  • Completeness of sentences

What you get

a) a document where I have highlighted and/or commented on mistakes and corrections as well as
b) a document in which all changes have been adopted

I offer this service for English as well as German texts.

Pricing

The price is based on the number of standard lines (1 standard line = 55 characters including spaces) in the text to be proofread which must be editable.

What I need from you

  • Documents to be proofread in editable form (ideally Microsoft Word), complete and clearly legible.
  • Deadline – by what date do you need the corrected text? The final documents will normally be sent by email.
  • Order – when I have informed you about the price and all details have been discussed, please communicate clearly that I can schedule and start the work.
  • At the time of order, I will also need your invoice address.
